US Missionaries – Fire Chaplaincy Ministry & Sr. Pastor - King's Way Assembly of God

Fire Chaplaincy Ministry, is a chaplaincy ministry dedicated to the fire service professionals of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Its mission is to recruit, train and equip chaplains to serve the 820 fire departments of the state. Very few departments have active chaplains, yet the need is great. Because of the increase in emergency medical calls and the type of incidents that firefighters respond to today, first responders are dealing with large amounts of stress. This stress can wear on a firefighter's physical, emotional and mental life. It also wears on the family and friends of the first responder. Fire department chaplains are a present help in all of these situations, and provide much needed encouragement and support to both the firefighter and victims of emergencies.

FCM is headed by Jeff Johnson, a firefighter/EMT with the Lexington Fire Department and Versailles Fire Department. Lexington Fire is a career department with 550 firefighters, and Versailles Fire is a combination department, with 11 career firefighters and 24 volunteers.  He has been married to Lisa for fifteen years and has three daughters, Mallory, Bethany and Emily. He resides in Versailles, Kentucky.
