Isaiah House Isaiah House
On Nov. 17, 2006, the Isaiah House celebrated their Fifth Anniversary. And, for the third straight year, was named: Kentucky's Best and Most Effective Organization for Compassion according to the Action Institute. Our primary mission is helping men with life controlling issues such as drug and alcohol addictions as well as other issues. Spiritual, physical, emotional, and financial areas are addressed. We offer a healthy, balanced structured environment for the whole man. Only if an individual sees his need for change, desires to do what it takes to accomplish this, and makes a 1 year commitment will he be admitted into Isaiah House. It is our goal to help residents find hope in Jesus Christ, instill in them tools to break destructive patterns and habits, begin making right choices, set goals, restore broken relationships and live a disciplined full life. Did you know: 1. 71% of all high school dropouts are from a Fatherless home. 2. 75% of all adolescents in substance abuse programs are from Fatherless homes. 3. 85% of all youths in prison (20X the avg) are from Fatherless homes. 4. 80% of rapists come from Fatherless homes. Clearly, Fathers represent safety, protection, guidance, friendship, and most importanly, the Word says, they are the Priests of their home. Drugs and alcohol steal fathers, sons, brother, leaders...and our futures.
The Isaiah House is not operated by the Kentucky District Council Assemblies of God, but is an approved district ministry and funds given from Assemblies of God churches can receive AG Missions Giving Credit, as approved by the Ky Dist Presbytery. If your church desires Missions Giving credit, checks should be written to: KY DIST AG, designated ISAIAH HOUSE, and mailed to the Dist office, c/o Debbie McBurney, KY AG, PO Bx 98, Crestwood, KY 40014.
