Bill & Connie McDonald Missionaries to Latin America Bill and Connie McDonald have ministered in Latin America since 1989. As pioneer pastors, they founded Centro Cristiano (Christian Center) in Ecuador's Andean mountain city of Cuenca. The church has grown to over 4000 in Sunday attendance. Further, the mother church has planted over 20 daughter churches. Cuenca is a city of 500,000 where less than half of one percent of the population are believers. "We've traveled through the mountains, jungles and islands of Ecuador planting churches among groups with little or no gospel witness," Bill says. "We've also been able to multiply our efforts by training church leaders and lay people to begin and develop churches in these un-reached areas." Besides church planting, Bill and Connie are establishing Christian schools in cooperation with the Assemblies of God's Latin America Child Care program. LACC schools offer sponsored students a Christ-centered education, as well as a uniform, a hot meal, and basic medical care. Hundreds of students in Ecuador have been reached through the schools Bill and Connie have started.
Through the founding of UNSION Hispanic Family Television they are seeing over 6000 commitments to Christ annually responding to the call-in Counseling services offered. The McDonalds have a specific goal of equipping and training 100 new leaders to plant 100 new churches in 100 un-reached communities, villages and cities of Ecuador. The Bible schools, Child Care schools and television station are aides and tools to accomplish this monumental task. Contact / Support
